EDITOR'S NOTE: This is one of the best known, and most significant of Steele's holiness books. It is also a personal favorite of mine. If you read only one of Steele's books, this is the one to read. This book is probably best known for it's famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) argument for entire sanctification based on Greek verb tenses: that is in Part 1, Chapter 8. It also contains many personal reflections from the author about his experience in the life of faith.
